As you could tell from my earlier blog post, we have been fending off griefer attacks over the last couple of weeks. Not a huge deal as they have been concentrated on one sim in particular. Actually, they seem to have been targeting one of our residents in particular. The one who is running a “Rape & Bondage Sex Park” in our Adult No Rules sim. Not really much of a surprise that someone running that kind of club would attract griefers now and then. And really, who could blame the griefers for taking offense?
Let me stop right here to make something perfectly clear. As an Estate Owner, I don’t care what people do on my land, as long as they follow Linden Labs Terms of Service and keep their tier paid. One of our basic philosophies is we refuse to “babysit” our sims. Sometimes that means we get tenants who put up sex parks. Sometimes that means we get tenants who put up churches.
This is the first time in Segarra Estates history that we have had both in the same sim. In this case, we had someone buy the vacant land next to the sex park. They then put in a church at ground level. And up above the clouds, right next to the sex park, they put large images of Jesus.
Ok. This is definitely, without a doubt, the first time in the history of our land business, that we have had Jesus overlooking a sex park! What’s an Estate Owner to do?!
The short answer is: nothing.
Yep. That’s right. I will let my tenants sort it out.
One of them might be offended by the sex park. The other might be offended by Jesus.
Me, I’m not especially offended by either.
In this case both tenants have their tier paid up, their prims are on their own lands, and they aren’t violating Linden Labs Terms of Service.
So I say let it be.
He loves Jesus.
She loves the sex park.
And I love Lindens.
